Looking to adopt a pet? Woodlands Shelter offers a wide range of loving pets waiting for their forever homes. From playful puppies to calm senior cats, each animal has a unique personality ready to brighten your life.
Woodlands Shelter is a foster-based rescue. Since all of our animals live in foster homes (instead of a traditional shelter environment), we are able to learn a tremendous amount about them and their needs. This helps us make great matches between our adopters and their new best friends! We do our best to keep the adoption process straightforward and simple, in an effort to get our available pets into permanent, stable, and loving homes in a timely manner.
Adoption Process
Submit your application directly via our website. Be sure to include the animal you are interested in and any specific preferences, as this helps us with the matchmaking process.
We may contact your veterinarian to confirm your experience with pets and your ability to care for them. Providing vet information is optional, but it can help us process your application more quickly.
We send an email notifying you of the status of your application.Please note: We receive a lot of interest in our animals, and there is no guarantee that an approved application will secure adoption of the animal you expressed interest in.
Our team will discuss available animals with you and schedule an adoption appointment. We will guide you through the next steps and help ensure a smooth transition for your new companion.
